After some convincing from Peter, Jillian gives Brian an ultimatum that the two of them need to move in together. He reluctantly agrees but is embarrassed because he can't afford the rent. In turn, Brian decides to take on a roommate, Stewie. All goes well until Jillian finds out that Brian really didn't want move in together and the two break up. Meanwhile, after securing a job at the Quahog Mini Mart, Meg helps her brother gain employment at the local store. The Mini Mart's owner, Carl, becomes good friends with Chris, but fires Meg when she complains about having to do most of the workload.
